How it works

How a compliment travels

From “nice jacket” to “it’s mutual”. Watch it play, or pick a step.

  1. Check in at a café or a campus spot and say what you’re wearing. Just enough for someone to know it’s you. No names, no photos.

  2. The circle shows who’s glowing nearby, by the spot they picked. Everyone’s a colour and a cute animal face.

  3. Tap someone and pick a compliment. Ready-made, warm words: never free text. It goes anonymously.

  4. A few minutes later they hear “Someone nearby liked your vibe”. Earlier today, nearby: never who, or exactly when.

  5. If they’d like to say hello, you’re asked. It’s entirely your call: if you don’t answer, nothing happens.

  6. Only when you both say yes do you see each other’s first names. A text-only chat opens, and you can end it or block anytime.

Who you’ll see

Everyone’s a cute animal. Nobody’s a profile.

Nearby, people show up as the colour they’re wearing and an animal face. It’s a new face every session, so nobody can follow anyone around.

Go on, say hi to one.

Make it yours

Kind by construction.

There’s no free text, ever. Make your own from a few warm phrases and something they chose to show, so there’s nothing unkind to send.

Something they’re showing

Love your sunglasses!

Earlier today, nearby

Safety

Private by default. Kind by design.

These aren’t settings you have to find. They’re rules the app can’t break, enforced on our servers, not just on your screen.

Anonymous until it’s mutual

No names, no photos, no profiles to scroll. First names appear only when you both choose to connect.

Ready-made words only

Compliments come from a fixed, friendly set. No free text, and no messages from strangers.

Vague on purpose

Compliments arrive a few minutes later and say “earlier today, nearby”. Never an exact time or place.

Hidden in a crowd

If too few people were around to keep the sender anonymous, the compliment waits until you’ve left.

No location trail

Your exact location is never stored, and there’s no history of where you’ve been.

Block without knowing who

Block the sender of any compliment without learning who it was. Blocks are permanent and work both ways.

Limits for everyone

A few compliments an hour, and one per person a day. Nobody gets flooded.

Adults only

Only for people 18 and over, with a date-of-birth check when you join.

Questions

Good to know

Is this a dating app?

No. It’s for saying the nice thing: a great jacket, a lovely vibe. If you both want to say hello, you can connect. Otherwise it’s just a kind moment in someone’s day.

Will they know it was me?

No. Compliments arrive anonymously, a few minutes later, and only say “earlier today, nearby”. Names appear only if you both choose to connect.

What do people nearby see about me?

A few words about your look, like “Lavender top · Sneakers”, and a cute animal face that changes every session. Never your name or photo.

Can people see where I am?

Only that you’re at the same place while you’re visible, and you choose when that is. Your exact location is never stored, and there’s no history of where you’ve been.

What if someone is unkind?

Compliments are ready-made words, so there’s no room for rude messages. You can block the sender of any compliment without learning who they are, and report anything that feels off.

Who can use it?

Adults, 18 and over.

When can I get it?

Soon, on Android and iPhone. We’re launching city by city.
